Transfer of Credit
LOMA and CLU course numbers and content have changed over time, and the ALU Education Committee will accept completion of an earlier version of a LOMA or CLU course for credit. In addition, the Committee recognizes that educational organizations outside the U.S. offer courses equivalent to those listed as requirements for the ALU Certificate and Diplomas. The Committee has reviewed course offerings from a number of institutions and has elected to offer ALU program credit for successful completion of selected courses in those institutions. Please see the ‘Transfer of Credit’ document for details.
Applying for a Certificate or Diploma
To apply for a certificate or diploma, once all requirements are met, complete the ALU Diploma Application form and submit it to the ALU Registrar. The student must include evidence of completion of all certificate or diploma requirements with the application. Completed forms may be submitted to the ALU by mail, international courier service, fax or as PDF attachments to email correspondence. Certificates and diplomas are issued on quarterly conferment dates during the year, on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st. Completed forms and valid evidence of completion of elective requirements must be received by the ALU Registrar at least 30 days prior to a conferment date.
